Thomas Wurdemann began his career on the North Branch Varsity tennis team as a freshman in 2016. He ended his High School career this year as the second highest points earner since 2004 (about as far back as current records go). In tennis you receive a certain number of points for where you play in the line up, with the top spot in singles earning 6 points and the top spots in doubles earning 5 points each time you play. You also gain 5 bonus points for winning your match, no matter where you are in the line up. Over his four years on varsity, Thomas racked up 29 wins, with many of them coming either at 1st or 2nd doubles, and 1st singles. Because of the time he had at the top spots in the lineup, and the wins he accrued there, he ended High School with 482 points, putting him 2nd in the all time rankings. His 29 wins puts him 5th in the all time rankings for High School career wins. Both categories are lead by Britt Baumann, who played from 2001-2004 and accrued 40 wins and 601 points.
