The baseball team lost out of the double elimination tournament on Saturday, but not before establishing a good run of well-played games.

Hermantown beat North Branch 2-1 at host site Solheim Field in Princeton, but it was a great day for baseball and a great game.  “You never want to lose at the end of the year, especially when you’ve turned the corner and you’re playing well,” said Coach Christensen.

“If we get a few of our hard-hit balls to drop in the outfield, we have a different game.”

The 7AAA is still alive, as Duluth Denfeld knocked off the #1 seed Grand Rapids.  Chisago Lakes and Hermantown will play Tuesday.  The winner of that game will face Grand Rapids, also on Thursday.  That winner will take on Denfeld on Wednesday.  All games are played at Princeton’s Solheim Field.
