In an effort to continuously improve over the off season and summer, the tennis team has introduced the Warrior Club. In order to become a member of the Warrior Club, players needed to play at least 100 hours of tennis in about 3 months, working out roughly to an hour of tennis a day. 6 girls were able to complete the task- Becca Perales, Katelyn Pascavage, Deb Thayer, Chloe Moline, Hailey Bistodeau, and Rachel Wurdemann. The commitment to improvement when not in season is so admirable in high school students, especially when the off season usually means jobs, time off, and other sports. The benefits seen were not only on the court, but off of it as well as it helps with team bonding. These 6 were the inaugural class of the Warrior Club, and are leaders on the team. Their efforts earned them a pizza party, a tee shirt, and a spot on the Viking Honor Board.
