Multiple Teams · ⚾ Fall High School Baseball – Training ⚾

Hello Fellow Baseball Players & Families –

The last 7 months have been pretty interesting!  In terms of baseball, there haven’t been too many opportunities to get out and on the field to play baseball.  This fall, the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and North Branch Area Public schools have allowed the high school coaching staff and players to get together for up to 12 days.

This fall training session will start October 5th and end October 24.  The staff is looking to find specific dates and times to work this fall.  This session is open to grades 9 to 12.  There will be specific guidelines to register and participate in this training session.  I will highlight those items below.

Return to Play Guidelines Include:

  • Meeting, practices, competitions, transportation, and facility usage will align with MDE and MN Department of health requirements.

  • Implementing effective protocols and routines will be a part of each practice session to mitigate spread and enhance safety of participants and coaches.

  • Must follow protocols for participants and coaches who have tested positive, experiencing symptoms, or exposure to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19.

  • If the school has gone to “distance learning” our practices can only be virtual.

  • No Captain’s practice allowed.

  • Participant pods of 25 or less

Fall training plans are subject to change and may depend on the amount of participants involved.  They can include fundamental training sessions, team and leadership building, training “games,” weight training, and intrasquad scrimmages.

In order to help mitigate the spread, players will be required to bring their own fielding & batting gloves (if used), hats, helmets, bats, water bottles, and masks/face coverings.

Please complete the SURVEY so that we can plan effective practices and training sessions for this fall.

Reminder, in order to participate, students must complete MSHSL paperwork through the registration process HERE.

Thanks!
