Fourth Inning Plays Key Role In North Branch Vikings Varsity Blow Out Over St. Francis
North Branch Vikings Varsity knocked in 11 runs in the fourth on its way to a 13-1 victory over St. Francis on Thursday. North Branch Vikings Varsity’s big inning was driven by singles by Liz Gladitsch and Sam Pederson, a triple by Amber Yoch, a home run by Sophie Smith, by Kate Berg, and a double by Berg.
North Branch Vikings Varsity put up 11 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Gladitsch and Pederson, a triple by Yoch, a home run by Smith, by Berg, and a double by Berg.
Pederson was the winning pitcher for North Branch Vikings Varsity. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking zero. Kristi Pilz threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Ella Roberts took the loss for St. Francis. She allowed five hits and four runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
