Yoch’s Walk-Off Seals The Deal In North Branch Vikings Varsity Victory Over St. Francis
A walk-off double propelled North Branch Vikings Varsity to a decisive, dramatic victory over St. Francis, 3-2. The game was tied at two with North Branch Vikings Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Amber Yoch doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. North Branch Vikings Varsity pitchers struck out six, while Ella Roberts sat down one.
In the first inning, St. Francis got their offense started. Hailey Heckenlaible doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
North Branch Vikings Varsity evened things up at two in the bottom of the second inning when Heather Kost doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
